The IGKNIGHT Shavings are made from Georgia Pine Fatwood. When pine tree dies and remains upright all the sap and resin in that tree tends to settle down in its base. This wood becomes completely saturated with resin and more or less waterproof and, more importantly, burns significantly longer and hotter than otherwise unsaturated wood. It is a natural and robust fire tinder. Just a pinch of these fatwood shavings will get your Emberlit Stove, camp fire, or bbq grill going in a hurry.
IGKNIGHT lights easily, especially the shavings, with a ferrocerium rod, match, or lighter and are extremely water resistant. So if you cross a stream or tip your canoe you can still sit by the fire later that night... unless of course you drown.
