So here's the story...
Back when we were running the Kickstarter campaign for the Pocket Super Shelter (working on getting more) the manufacturer offered us some "ULTRAFLECT™" Ponchos they had left over from another project to use as a backer reward.
All those ponchos are gone, however, recently while going through their warehouse they found a couple more boxes of them.
These ponchos are really nice. They are more of a serape than the military style poncho. They don't open flat but are made to be worn while active. I believe they were originally intended for runners. And even fit a big guy like me. I'm 5' 10" and about 300lbs and they fit me well enough as seen in the pictures.
Ultraflect™ is a reflective lightweight polyester woven insulation fabric featuring Heatsheets’ Silver Lining® technology. It has a velvety soft feel on the outside with a thermal reflective coating on the inside that reflects over 90% of your body heat to keep your warm.
Having protection from the rain and wind can be, and often is, the difference between life and death. These ponchos are excellent for one's pack, purse, or car.
Be prepared for bad weather. It is still 2020, there's still a good chance we'll have poison dart frogs raining from the sky.
