Emberlit Flint and Steel - Dragon

The Dragon flint striker breaths hot sparks when struck. This is a personal favorite. It is patterned after historical “P” shaped strikers.

Like all our strikers, it will fit comfortably inside of a Tinderbox Kit.
It can also be included as part of a Fire Necklace.
And we have suitable stone for striking sparks if you can't find any in your area.

Emberlit Flint and Steel Strikers are cut from high quality carbon steel and professionally heat treated right here in Utah, USA.

Our strikers can rust and tarnish. This is why they cast a spark when struck against stone; rust is just a slow form of burning. This is only cosmetic and harmless. They polish up easily with an abrasive sponge or sand paper.

Fire Dragon

I have a name brand striker and it’s not as good as this little dragon size and weight are deceptive. As soon as I tried to light my slow it was right away I have struggled with flint and steel this steel was a lot easier good spark lite right away. This is a great steel for women to use I will be buying the bear next well done fellas

Fantastic, and looks great!

No matter how good it looks, if it doesn't work, it's worthless. But this "fire breathing dragon" absolutely fits both criteria! First it's, shall we say, the cutest little thing around. This is just utterly fine design! Adds some flair to your fire making. Then we come to the sparks. Showers of them; cascades. I'd made a couple steels from an old file and was really pretty disappointed. Hard to find flint in my area, but quartz is pretty easy to come by. But I thought that the stone was the problem. Just couldn't get good sparks with the file steel. So finally got this EmberLit Dragon steel. Also for fun got some flint from EmberLit, too. Big time sparks with the Dragon and flint. Then I tried the rocks I'd been trying with the file steel. Not quite as good as the flint, but got 2-3x the sparks with Mr. Dragon as I had with the file steel. Must not be the optimal steel in that file. Maybe I'll try heat treating. But the Dragon? He's a "fire breather!" LOVE IT - form and function are the best!
